Competition categories

A / fresh water
B / salt water
C / black and white photo
D / creative photography
E / author’s portfolio (one series of 3 photographs, which must include: 1. macro, 2. wide-angle, 3. free theme)
Competition photographs may not be used in more than one category.

Conditions of participation

• Only photographs where at least 50% of the image is from below the water’s surface can be entered in the photography category.
• Photomontage is not allowed. 
• Only basic adjustments such as aperture, cropping, white balance, contrast, removal of highlights caused by flash reflection are allowed.
• Photographs must be taken in natural waters (except for the creative photography category).
• If proof is required, the owner must submit an original RAW or JPG.
• In one category, the author may enter a maximum of 3 photographs.

Technical conditions

• The organizer will select the 4 best images from each category, make photos of them in the size of 30 x 45 cm and they will be framed and exhibited in the premises of the IYFF with the category and the name of the author. 
• The final ranking of the first three places in each category will be announced after the announcement of the competition results.
• Each photograph must be labelled as follows: category – shot number – surname and first name (together without spaces), example: A-1-Zubajmilan.
• Each entry will be given a registration number. The Jury operates only with this number, the name of the participant will not be known to the Jury.
• All entries must be submitted electronically – online or by post (courier) on data carriers (USB stick, memory card). The data format is JPG. File size must be 45×30 cm/300 dpi, aspect ratio 2 : 3 or 3 : 2.
