CLEAN WATERS 32nd annual accompanying event of the IFDF High Tatras festival
The event is a voluntary part of the IFDF, during which divers, using their own diving equipment, clean the bottoms of selected ponds and lakes of garbage after the tourist season.
Registration of participants and selection of sites
will be at the Titris Hotel in Tatranská Lomnica:
October 2, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
October 3, 2025 from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM
NOTE: Individual Tatra lakes will be allocated to divers only upon personal registration according to their own interest on a first come, first serve basis until the permitted numbers set for individual locations are reached. Reservations for a particular location in advance are not available.
Opening of the Clean Waters event
The Clean Waters event opens on October 3, 2025 at 8.30 am at the Hotel SOREA TITRIS in Tatranská Lomnica. Transport to the dive locations is not provided, therefore participants must use their own cars as per the instructions of the leaders for each dive location. Leaders will be introduced at the opening of the event.

Important information
- Diving is only open to organised divers and is voluntary. The organizing committee is not responsible for the technical equipment, health or fitness of individual divers. Participants take part in the dives at their own risk and must sign a self-declaration.
- ATTENTION! All locations are in mountain decompression mode.
- In case of bad weather, the organizing committee reserves the right to cancel the cleaning at individual locations.
- Arbitrary change of assigned sites is not permitted!
- Cleaning bags will be provided by the group leaders directly at the sites.
- On the forest roads to Velický and Popradský pleso, car traffic is regulated. Entrance will be arranged by the managers of individual locations.
The selected plesos are part of the TANAP National Nature Reserves, so please be as considerate as possible, whether under or above the water surface. Please respect the instructions of the TANAP Administration staff, forest guards and nature guards!
As in previous years, the event will be evaluated and the most active cleaner(s) will be awarded. The Clean Waters evaluation will be part of the official festival review.
